Venus Berlin 2007

I have been putting off this report for days now, so its good to finally get stuck in. I flew into Berlin with the anticipation of doing some really good TV deals for VivThomas.com and hooked up with our DVD distributor, Erigo in the breakfast hall of the Estrel Hotel. This hotel is where ALL the action happens during Venus and they have special parties every night and a whole host of restaurants to spend your hard earned cash in – try €4 a bottle of water! Back to breakfast and this gorgeous looking brunette helps herself to a a delicious plate of fruit and I can’t stop wondering whether she is a porn star or not… She looks good enough to film, but what if she wasn’t? Can you imagine walking up to a girl and saying: “Excuse me are you a porn star?”
Anyway, I didn’t ask and bumped into her a little later at the Daring Sex stand (one of the biggest) and she scribbled out her e-mail address at the mention of the name “VivThomas.com”. Viv had joked with me on the phone that his name “may” still open a few doors in the industry for me. I was totally unprepared for the respect that our company name garners. Walking on to Hustler’s stand was one of the best experiences: the guy whom I asked if I could speak with the CEO started giving me the “not today pal we’re busy shpiel”. After saying that Hustler works with many producers I told him that I was with VivThomas.com. My god, did he fall about! Seconds later I was chatting to Jeff, the Hustler Europe CEO.
One thing that constantly amazed me was the “laissez-faire” attitude that all the people wandering around adopted. It’s not often that you see a 60 year old granny with short fuzzy blond hair walking around naked except for a fish-net body stocking! I also literally bumped into a girl that seemed to start her porn career on Voyeurweb way back when. I wonder what she does these days when not walking around totally nude at Sexpos like Venus.
I had a chat with Eve Angel and gave her a few of our cool new coasters featuring her stunning breasts. Co-incidentally she also featured on Erigo’s stand (our DVD distributor). A larger than life image of her from when she was last in Portugal – mmm really stunning image! Our Babe of the Year 2007 was there too having fun as usual – Nelly really is a lovely girl with a fun personality and extremely professional to work with too. There is a good reason why she is starring in the Unfaithful series (did you know Unfaithful 2 was out?).
Venus was a great experience and the over-riding impact I felt on my return was that our colleagues in the industry have a tremendous respect for our company. It’s really great to see what a good light we are held in, not only by our customers and members of the “VivThomas.com World” but also by our partners, competitors and colleagues alike.
